Rubellite, Diamond & Silver Bangle

An FJ signature bangle, designed with a sleek cabochon cut rubellite encased within a tailored sterling silver diamond motif enhanced by round brilliant cut diamonds etched into adjacent sides of Art Nouveau style. Handcrafted in England.

Can be worn with the rubellite earrings as a set. Rubellite means ‘red’ in Latin and its intense pink hue is the most desired and valuable of all tourmaline. Tourmaline has been known since antiquity in the Mediterranean region; the Dutch imported it in 1703 from Sri Lanka to Western and Central Europe.

They gave the new gems a Sinhalese name ‘Turamali’ which is thought to mean ‘stone with mixed colours’. Indeed, tourmaline, is the only gemstone to come in every shade of colour.
